Isaiah 40:7-8 was one of my first memory verses. The teacher I learned it from was teaching on the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture. Isaiah 40:7-8 remains one of my all time favorite scriptures to this day. "The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever." The older I get, and the longer I serve in ministry, the greater the value I place on this timeless truth.
